Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is 6-1 as a starter this season. Since he took over as the Tennessee Titans starting quarterback in Week 7, the former Miami Dolphins signal caller has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL this season. Tannehill is atop the league in average yards per attempt at 9.8 yards, and he has the 2nd highest completion percentage with 73.4 percent – behind the Saints Drew Brees (73.6 percent).
In a one-on-one conversation with ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown reporter Jeff Darlington this week, the former Dolphins first round draft pick talks about how he elevated his game after the offseason trade to the Titans. (Producer: Lizette Castaneda)
Tannehill on the Titans On-the-Field Success:
“We’ve been through a lot of adversity, which I think brought us closer together as a team and gave us more belief in each other. You know, you look at Tampa, you look at San Diego, games… Kansas City… games that came down to the wire, and we were able to find a way to win, whether it was offense, defense, special teams.
“Just that belief that someone’s gonna make a play, someone’s gonna step up and find a way to win, and we did that. And I think when that happens, it just glues your team together. And the belief has only gotten stronger with the more success that we have.”
