ESPN Cover Story Returns with Anthony Edwards and Justin Jefferson
Minnesota Stars Recreate Iconic Photo in Content Debuting Across ESPN Platforms

What happens when you get two of the biggest stars in the NBA and NFL to recreate an iconic photo of Minnesota sports legends? ESPN has released its newest ESPN Cover Story featuring Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings recreating a photo shoot from 2000.
Nearly a quarter of a century ago, then Wolves and Vikings stars Kevin Garnett and Randy Moss swapped jerseys and posed in a photo shoot for SPORT Magazine. The image has remained legendary in the Twin Cities, and fans have begged Edwards and Jefferson to recreate it since they were drafted in 2020.
Along with the photo, Edwards and Jefferson also sat for an interview with ESPN reporter Jamal Collier, dishing about their friendship, explaining what Minnesota means to them, and debating about which sport is harder to play.
The multi-platform presentation of ESPN Cover Story includes a digital package and original storytelling on ESPN social, along with a video feature airing on SportsCenter. A three-minute excerpt aired on Sunday NFL Countdown with Moss reacting and thanking Jefferson and Edwards for honoring his career.
