Overall, 16 ranked teams will begin their campaign on ESPN’s networks during the season’s first full week (Sept. 1-Sept. 5).

100 Consecutive Hours of College Football Programming and Remote Studio Presence in Week 1
ESPN’s entire Field & Stream Kickoff Week schedule will have 100 consecutive hours of college football programming** beginning Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 5, including more than 45 games across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, SEC Network, ACC Network Extra and ESPN3.

College GameDay Built by The Home Depot from Green Bay, Wisc. (Sept. 3), SEC Nation from Knoxville, Tenn. (Sept. 1) and College Station, Texas (Sept. 3), and College Football Countdown from Austin (Sept. 4) and Orlando (Sept. 5) will surround the game telecasts. SportsCenter will also have a presence in 10 different cities throughout the weekend – Arlington, Atlanta, Austin, Baton Rouge, La. College Station, Texas, Green Bay, Wisc., Houston and Orlando.

ESPN’s 2016-17 College Football Schedule
College football’s best kickoff week ever jumpstarts ESPN’s entire season schedule which will feature more than 800 games and 20 conferences. The regular season will conclude with six conference championship games (Dec. 2-3), leading into College Football Playoff Selection Day (Dec. 4).

ESPN 2016-17 Bowl Season
ESPN’s 2016-17 college football bowl schedule will consist of 38 games, including 13 owned and operated games by ESPN Events. The industry-leading slate will begin Saturday, Dec. 17, with a tripleheader on ESPN and a doubleheader on ABC, and continues through Monday, Jan. 2, with ESPN/ESPN2 televising 33 games and ABC airing four during the 17-action packed days. The season will conclude with the College Football Playoff National Championship game on Monday, Jan. 9, on ESPN.
